Summary of Practice
Mr. Berg is a specialist in commercial business transactions including the negotiation and drafting of all types of commercial agreements, real estate and construction contracts, commercial leases, joint venture agreements, shareholders’ agreements, distribution agreements, license agreements, and other commercial contracts. His experience also includes the structuring, operation, merger and reorganization of corporations, limited liability companies and other business units. He represents clients headquartered in China, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Taiwan, the United States and other countries. His clients include multi-national corporate and institutional investors, industrial and financial companies, entrepreneurial ventures and individuals with substantial business interests.
Professional and Educational Background
Mr. Berg is a graduate of Yale University, cum laude, and the Columbia University School of Law. After graduation from law school, Mr. Berg served as Law Clerk to a Federal Judge and, thereafter, was associated with Dewey Ballantine (now Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP) in New York. For sixteen years he was a partner at Walter, Conston, Alexander & Green, P. C. (now the New York office of Alston & Bird LLP). Mr. Berg then joined the New York office of Russin & Vecchi LLP which later became Russin, Vecchi, Berg & Bernstein LLP, where his practice continues to emphasize commercial business and real estate transactions. He is fluent in German.
