Drawing on more than forty years of experience as a practicing attorney, Mr. Bernstein provides sophisticated corporate and commercial legal advice and representation in mergers and acquisitions, bank financing, private equity and debt financings, joint ventures, intellectual property and technology licenses, distributorships, O.E.M. agreements, equipment sale and lease transactions, shareholder, partnership and LLC operating agreements and other types of corporate, commercial and business relationships and arrangements.
Professional and Educational Background
Mr. Bernstein is a graduate of Amherst College, cum laude, and Harvard Law School. He has represented American and European companies for over forty years, including serving as a director of several of their U.S. subsidiaries. He was the managing partner of a large New York law firm and a partner in a leading international Swedish law firm. In these diverse roles he has developed a deep understanding of European social and commercial customs and unique empathy for the European perspective and approach to business.
